Spears’s Circus Tour

Supporting Britney Spears’s album, “Circus”, it is her sixth studio albums, Spears will have a living tour called “The Circus Starring Britney Spears”. Her new song “Womanizer” was premiered shorty after the New York radio station Z100. She impressed to her fan with her new appearance on the show, also she announced about her world wide tour in spring of 2009 to support the album “Circus”. She started practicing for her show from January for a March kick off. The tour was announced concurrent with the album’ release on 2th December, 2008. Live entertainment company AEG Live signed a deal with her to produce the tour. Tour director will be Jamie King and Musical director will be Simon Ellis. She also announced on Good Morning America that her concert tour would start in New Orleans on 3th March, 2009.

Last her live was on 6th November, 2008, she showed a cameo appearance at the Dodger Stadium show of Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour. She joined Madonna on midway through “Human Nature”.

On 30th November 2008, titled “Britney: For the Record” was aired a 90-minute documentary by MTV. Her return to the pop music spotlight was marked on the show. There is a series of posters to promote “Circus” on her website about its released.

Britney Spears got award in the Billboard Readers’ Choice Album of the Year for the second year in a row. On Billboard magazine, over 16,000 votes were cast in the poll. This gets her as the first artist to have an album called “Album of the Year” two years in a row.

I Am… Sasha Fierce – Beyonce’s Image in 2009

Beyonce released “I Am…Sasha Fierce” on 18th November 2008, as her third studio album. Beyoncé told that Sasha Fierce is the name of the persona she adopts when she performs onstage. "I have someone else that takes over when it's time for me to work and when I'm on stage, this alter ego that I've created that kind of protects me and who I really am".

In an interview, Rodney Jerkins said that the style of the album kept switching, it was inspired by the musical biopic film “Cadillac Records”. In the film, Beyonce played famed blues singer Etta James. Beyonce join in a film calld “Obsessed” with Ali Larter and Idris Elba. The film has been production since May 2008, and it will be an international release slated in March 2009 and due in the United States in April 2009.

The first and second singles of the album, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” were showed to radio on 14th October 2008, before the release of the album on 18th November 2008. “Single Ladies(Put on Ring on It)” got to top the Hot 100 chart for four non-consecutive weeks, while “If I Were a Boy” showed as fourth UK number-one single of Beyoncé. Those get Beyonce’s fifth number one single in the US. In the Spring of 2009, Beyoncé will start a tour around the world, she will visit venues all over the world from the America’s, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The tour will be named “Beyonce I Am…Tour”, she will have a week long stint of shows in Las Vegas also.

An announcement that Beyonce was six times for five NAACP Image Awards: Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Music Video ("If I Were A Boy"), Outstanding Music Video ("Single Ladies"), Outstanding Song ("Single Ladies"), Outstanding Album ("I Am…Sasha Fierce") and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture ("Cadillac Records") on 7th January 2009.
