Freedom – “Right Now (Na Na Na)”

The first single in “Freedom”, the third studio album of Akon, is “Right Now (Na Na Na)”. The single also includes elements from “Wouldn’t It Be Good”, a song of Nik Kershow. The single showed on US Mainstream Top 40 radioa on 23th September 2008. It was also showed for digital download on iTunes that time. “Still Sellin (Drugs)” came as a freestyle of using the same set of music, like it was produced by the rapper Young Dro. Joined by Kat DeLuna, there is an official remix of “Right Now (Na Na Na)” which is unofficial remix thith Jayko.

The single released on 6th November 2008, it is the official music video, it was directed by Anthony Mandler. The song also in Germany on the TV show Viva Live. In the video, Akon plays an agent that is on a mission, he has to find a girl, which is the same from his “Don’t Matter”. It is the secret information. Through the song is his memory about the good times that he spent with his new girlfriend, who played by Jamican model Cindy Wright, but he sleep with the girl from “Don’t Matter”, which gets information and ends the video alone.

The song showed at number seventeen at Australian Singles Chart, number seven at Belgian Singles Chart (Flanders), number seven at Canadian Hot 100, number twenty three at Dutch Top 40, number sixteen at Finnish Singles Chart, number eighteen at Irish Singles Chart, number three at Israeli Singles Chart, number five at New Zealand Singles Chart, number eight at French Singles Chart, number six at Romanian Top 100, number fourty eight at Swedish Singles Chart, number three at Turkey Top 20 Chart, number six at UK Singles Chart, number eight at U.S. Billboard Hot 100, number ninety two at U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, number ten at U.S. Billboard Pop 100, and number fourty at U.S. Billboard Rhythmic Top.

It is also got Gold certification in Australia with selling 35,000 copies, and Gold certification in New Zealand with selling 7,500 copies.
